Default smoking 75

hi I have a strange problem on my 75diesel,when cold starts and runs fine after 6-7 miles misfires loosing power lots of smoke then cuts in runs on 4 again more smoke smells like diesel smoke took it to an ex rover dealer and it was fine no faults showing ,any ideas anyone

Have you checked all the basic stuff like PCV filter, intercooler O rings, induction system for air leaks and of course wiring in the injectors. surprised its not throwing up any faults if the engine is cutting out.

How much diesel do you have in the tank? If the level is low(ish) and the in tank pump is failing, then it will cut out, its a common issue. If so, fill her up and it should be ok for a time and give you chance to get the pump changed / fixed.
