IR controls for Kenwood (on the radio)
Been looking at some nice Kenwood DVD players for the car, and alot of them come with an IR remote, and im assuming that this means the IR sensor would be on the front of the radio...
Question is, would it work with the current steering controls when i want to change the volume? I would have thought so, but just wondering if anyones had the same problem.... Thanks! Stu

Stu
I had the same problem when I installed an after market unit, I know its against the grain, but on the other forum there is a but of information on a infrared unit:- http://forums.mg-rover.org/showthread.php?t=212097 I have brought the unit and installed it and it works fine, I can adjust the volume and charge radio stations via the steering wheel controls. hopefully this will be of some use to you. |

Before spending any money, check with Kenwood, I think that all their units that have IR controls, work in the same way.
