Rover 75 Connie Diesel 2003...68000 miles.

After much thought, Ive decided to sell my 75.
I've had the car 5 years, me being the second owner.
I originally wanted a MG ZT Diesel but could not find a really nice one and after another fruitless long journey to look at one in Yorkshire back in May 2012...this popped up for sale!!!
At that point I had not really considered a 75 as I was leaning towards something more sporty...
Anyway after speaking to the owner...I decided it was worth a look as it was relatively local.
Soon as I turned up I knew If I didn't buy it the next person who did would....it was that nice.
My thinking was....see how you get on with it...If you don't like it...you can always sell it etc.
Someone on here told me I'd be smitten and sure enough I quickly grew to love it.
At various points Ive considered selling it....simply to switch to a automatic, but again....I have not been able to find a ZT auto as nice as my 75 with reasonable miles that didn't cost a small fortune.
Again, 3 weeks ago I traveled to look at a Black ZT Diesel with higher miles than mine only to be disappointed again, and this car was up for nearly £4000!!!
Have looked at other options....Jag S Type 2.7, but the complexity frightens me not to mention the amount of engine failures they seem to have (just look on ebay!!!)....also the later X Type diesels with auto box, but when I drove the manuals awhile back...they didn't seem as good as my 75!!!!.....
This year has not been great for a number of personal issues which haven't been helped by planned surgery I had in March.
Since then I have had a lot of pain in my left knee....and driving my 75 has been not as enjoyable....so I've decided to sell her and get a auto.....tho more than likely something different.
I fancy a change.

Anyways...key points on my car are as follows...

Connie spec, originally 115bhp, but upgraded to X power 130bhp
67000 miles, when I bought it in 2012 it had 20000 miles on it!!!!!
Wedgewood Blue, with Black leather interior.
Car has always been maintained by me except when recently I had to have a garage fit new coil springs on the back...due to my recent surgery I have trouble with my legs at the moment.
Original service book was lost by previous owner / dealer but I have the original HPI report along with service work etc.
Everything I have done, whether servicing or replacing anything I have kept the bill....so lots of history with the car.
MOT History (I don't think its ever had a advisory let alone failure)
Car still has 5 months MOT.
Changes or Upgrades done by me....
Black Oak Dash fitted (I have the original Walnut if you want to change it back)
Upgraded modern JVC Stereo head unit with MP3/ USB (a must for me)
I did recently fit a Universal Android Multimedia unit but this failed after 3 months....so Ive put the JVC back in.
Both aux fuel pumps have been changed by me...In Tank and Under bonnet.
EGR bypass...Stainless Steel (have kept original if wanted)
Front coil springs and Top Bearings.(2years ago)
Rear Coil Springs (3 weeks ago!!)
Car has been serviced by me approx every 10k.
PCV Filter (Crank Breather) has been changed twice as well at 30k and 55k.
Plenum Spy Hole mod and Bonnet release mod.
Upgraded Pioneer speakers with Tweeters in the rear.
New Boot seal and rear light seals....not water in boot etc.
Lots of other stuff that have slipped my mind...

Would like it to go to someone on here as its a lovely car so I'll give it a week or so before looking at other selling options.
Car is in excellent condition...Immaculate in my opinion, but its better to judge for yourself.
There is the odd mark here and there but I'm being picky and the car is 14 years old this year.
If Interested pm me and come and have a look....or ask anything I might have missed.

£1700.

A few people have messaged me to say they can't see pics of my car....whilst some, myself included can?
Until mods help solve it....here's a link to a previous thread a while back when I first contemplated selling her for a automatic.

Finally got round to putting it on Ebay.
Looked into trying to keep her, but just don't have the room.

Ongoing issues with the 75's replacement has meant its been held as cover....
Hopefully resolved now.....
£1600

Car is now sold.
A nice fella, Glen from Swindon, picked the car up Friday night.
A fellow enthusiast who I know will enjoy the car as much as me....I pointed him in the direction of this forum, so hopefully he'll be along to say hello shortly.
I will stay active on the board and pop along to the odd Nano meet when I can.
I wouldn't rule out another...possibly ZT down the road either....!!!!
Keep the flag flying all.....
Regards Yam.
