Navall2 Wiring Pictures - FAO Coolcat
Hi Jeff,
Thought i'd upload the pics of what i'm seeing and what I am wanting to clarify. With no wiring manual then some of the wires are a bit poorly described. Can you maybe list off what each one is for, specifically around what it does in what state, i.e when does a circuit become live REVERSE LIGHT on and then triggers another circuit. Sticker says for example, REVERSE is PINK on the PINK cable it says it's BRAKE on the ORANGE cable it says reverse, but there is also an ORANGE cable in the main connector block as well. |

Hi Geraint,
I answered your pm the other day but really haven't had a chance to get this spun up on a bench to give you the answer. I know that doesn't help but it's all I can do at the moment to get these ready and sent out to people, answer messages, serve in the shop, do customer repairs, do the installs and I just haven't had any spare time or bench space. I've only just this minute got in from doing a Highline install today ( my day off ) and I'm booked up every day off this month now for customer installs. I will be back at work in the shop tomorrow and I'll see if I get a chance then Sorry but I can do no more at the moment!

The basic head unit install is simpler than the Navall 1 unit and is pretty much plug and play with the exception of wiring the brown and black swc wires to the blue/orange and blue/purple steering wheel control wires in the car loom

I'm really just after knowing the trigger circuits etc.
So would I connect the PINK (which is says on sticker is reverse, yet on the wire itself it says BRAKE), or the ORANGE which is says is ILLUMINATION on the diagram but says REVERSE in the wire. BRAKE says it's BROWN, but it's on the PINK cable. Also the RED and BLACK for CAM on the loom with the phono sockets, is this needed ? I had my reversing cam wired to power up from reversing light on the WinCE unit. Somewhere the diagram or wiring stickers must be incorrect. Don't worry about rushing it Jeff, I just didn't want to forget it's something i need to clarify. Standard install is plug and play. Also, what's the KEY1 and KEY2 wires for ? If you can tell me what it should be, then i'll happily draw up a diagram on Visio so it's there for everyone cheers g |

I connected the Orange wire with reverse on it to the Blue wire on the TPMS module.
Didn't use the brake wire on this or the Navall 1 The Red and Black wires were not used on mine as like yours my camera is powered from the reverse light. Everything works just as it did on the Navall 1 The Key 1,2 wires should be for the steering wheel controls I think. Hope this helps a little. Andy

Hi Geraint,
Ignore the wiring diagram on the lid the loom is correct Sir Quick overview: The Blue Dvd+ of the TPMS connects to the orange/white wire marked 'reverse' on the wire coming from the Navall2 loom. Yellow of the TPMS connects to a 12 volt positive feed in the car and black to a ground. The brown wire of the TPMS will connect to the brown/green 12v positive reverse wire of the car loom. If a reversing camera is installed the video feed from that goes to the TPMS unit instead of the camera input of the Navall2 unit. The video output rca of the TPMS goes to the camera in rca of the Navall2. With regards the key 1, key 2 : you should have a black wire and a brown wire with soldered ends. These are the two wires that connect to the blue/orange and blue/purple steering wheel wires of the car. Ignore the other key wire as it is not used! Hope that helps Ps, I shall be speaking to Sean to see if he can get the factory to correct the wiring labels on the double din as this is very misleading as you say!
