Another place for water to enter.
I have found a new place for water ingress.
Just below where the bonnet cable goes through the bulkhead there is a loom going through the bulkhead and seemingly under the brake servo it enters the cabin at this point then collects in the drivers footwell. Just thought I'd let you know. If you want a pic of the offending area let me know. |

Do you have a sunroof because if you have then there is a drain at that point which may be blocked.

Mines a tourer with no sunroof and the leaks only on the drivers side. Leak is somewhere high in the dash, lots of water coming in so I assume it's near a water channel. Was looking to get the windscreen done in case it's that but any other locations I can try to seal before I get that far is great. Also there was a suggestion it could be from round the roof bars but I don't know where the water would run.

I found it...
I know the leak you mean and I found it, when I was doing the interior on my 75 I posted many leak pictures and got very little response and so, I stopped posting them. I know that there are many people that have had leaks in different places, so many people have an opinion as to what it could be and where from. The leak I found you would not believe.
I found these points. Mirror Foams Screen Seals Plenum Clip holders loose The sealant in the upper corners I did all of these and more but, there was that one more leak that stubbornly refused to stop....Until it was found. |

Found it?
Saga Lout,
I too have a leak into the drivers side which is proving difficult to find. Checked this morning and cannot see any signs of water coming through from the plenums, sunroof drain (previously fixed) and grommet for cables all dry so I am keen to know your answer to the leak. The only water trace I have seen is down the plastic trim where the bonnet release is located. Be a pal and let us know what you found. Cheers Brian |
