![]() Folks I have a manual diesel 75 and have always loved using Cruise Control but previously with an automatic.
My question is with cruise control on and then the need to change down should you disengage Cruise Control manually or does it disengage automatically ? When I have done this the light on the activating button below the ICE consol stays on but the light on the dash goes out and to re-set I just have to use the steering wheel controls. Am I causing any problems of damage doing this ??? Cheers + ATVB Philip

![]() You are doing it correctly. The CC is de-activated when you depress either the clutch or brake pedal - the switches thereon are the first things to check if the CC fails to work.
The lower steering wheel switch/button re-engages the CC at the previous setting, the top one sets it at the current speed. The handbook does say to cancel the console switch when you've finished with CC, but switching off the ignition does this anyway. HTH Malcolm |
