I know its not happening tommorow but the digital switch over for both TV and Radio is around the corner. Having the Telly in the car when the Mrs is having her hair done or vanished into TK max for a couple of hours is a must for me and something I would miss.

Just wondered what we can do when the switch takes place.

There are threads on this (which I cannot currently find most relevant one)
but you basically have two options.

1. Purchase a 12volt car Digital Tuner and a Extra Lead to view through the AV channel of your current system
These vary in price from around £35 up to several hundred,
you may also require better aerials.

2. Purchase the BMW Digital tuner which is straight swap for your current one,
but these are Priced from £500 to over £700 if new.

Also have a read here:

You state it's not happening tomorrow. Some places have already lost the analog signals so it's happening now.

Guess the only consolation is that at least with in car tv you can drive to find a signal. I live in the Lincolnshire Wolds (Yes it's not all flat but can't compete with Wales John) . Have had digital TV at home for many years now as simply cant get a decent alaogue picture where I live.

Really do like to have the telly in the car so will definately try to solve it .
