Mine has just arrived in its original packaging, what a bargain. £26 for a £300 system . The courier didn't ask for any money or anything but on the receipt it said that the customs value was $16.24 which I can live with if anything comes of it

Nice one Dallas and keep the tips coming

Hi Dave, £25! you must have purchased two. It seems when you place an order for 1x, it gets sent via China Airmail and gets delivered by DPD, no fees to pay. The same thing happened to the deckless DD units I bought, single orders arrived by DPD and there were no fees.

Regarding the install, I've not had chance today. I reckon I might knock-up a custom fascia, just so I can get the DD unit level. I will let you all know as and when, may start later this evening.

Hi Steve, I would luv Walnut, but my ZT has the boring black and grey decor. One member on here crafted a lovely wooden fascia, it looked superb. If I end up doing the same, I think the boring black would suit best...

Lol.

I've just had my third order arrived by DPD, and no fees to pay, that is because the declared 'Customs Value' is 14.99USD.

So that was 10 days using UPS and I got charged import VAT and brokerage fee.

Only 11 days using regular China Airmail, and no fees to pay.

Wes can you tell us what is the actual problem with the fitting?

I'm looking at the new fascia but can't see what you mean

The fascia aperture is smaller which I knew, so you need to shave-off at least 3mm from either-side.

Due to the angle of the fascia, this directs the DD unit downwards. The rear of the DD then hits the rear of the dashboard (bulkhead), there is not enough depth within the dash to house the unit. You either have to bring the DD slightly forward so the front plate is this-side of the Rover fascia panel, or/and remove some of the rear rubber sound-proofing from behind the DD.

... or custom fit a new fascia plate to bring the DD slightly forward.

The fun, or should I say headache has only just begun...
