Default KV6 Power Steering pump

Aside from the tappets and the water losses, a new intermittent noise has started - I used the old screwdriver to the ear trick and I am 99% sure it's coming from the PS pump.

Having searched it seems a couple of folk have had the pulley bolts loosen/drop out so I will take a look at the weekend.

If anyone instantly recognises the noise please let me know what it is.

Probably not your issue, but check for leaks anyway: http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...d.php?t=216520

Well it wasn't the pulley bolts. Now not sure whether to leave it unril it actually fails. No sign of leaks fluid level is good. It is noisy though, just not all the time.

first why dont you try to open sterring fluid tank , start the car and then for a few time turn the sterring wheel from one side to another on max position a few times...

that will allow all air to come out, maybe if you are lucky it will help...

if not then you think in serious options...
