wiring an auto dimming mirror help
have found the plug at in the dash (see pic) and there are more wires than i thought would be there, so i thought the plug for the mirror could be on the other end of the wire, so removed the light fitting and altho i can feel the other wires, i cant fingd the plug i need so i assume the other wires go off and do other things. the how to for this mod is imho not very good. can i not wire the mirror into the light fitting.

I seem to recall that this plug powers the auto-dimmirror and the auto-wiper sensor.

You need to look at the bottom of the connector on the drivers side A pillar to see if the wiring is in place.
If not, drop three wires down the A pillar on the passenger side and pick up an erath, switched live, and reversing lights off the back of the fuse box. Have a search under my user name and mirror, as I've posted how to do it loads of times. Interior lighting feeds are not suitable.

You need to pull both connectors out, and if you are lucky, you'll have the 3 wires on the lower connector

i only have the white connector to pull out, that i can see, it only pulls out an inch, took a look under the dash and can only see that one wire. is there supposed to be another wire apart from the white one? i have looked on the thread and cant find a plug that remotely looks like mine
