The Chrysler Sunbeam brings back memories.Designed on a shoestring budget,it went on to become the Sunbeam Lotus Rally car.I worked on the design of the Sunbeam Lotus in the late 1970's,the project led by Roy Axe,who went via Chrysler Detroit to head up Rover Design. It went on to win the World Rally Championship in 1980 & 1st 3rd & 4th in the 1981 RAC Rally. The last 2 wheel drive car to win the RAC.

Great info there

Can't say I've ever bought a car on the basis of it winning a race of any kind though

I was £500 away from buying a 2 year old Lotus Sunbeam in 1982 and have regretted not buying it ever since.

Just in case anyone hasn't seen Oxford cream in the flesh they are made to top quality Nappa Leather and are far superior to any other seats in the 75ZT range.

There is no vinyl anywhere around the seat frame just pure 100% leather

Every time I open the door of mine the waft of that leather ooozes out into the garage
