Dorset Bob,
thanks for the diagram. Would it be possible to upload the full instruction's so I can download them? Would really appreciate it Looking at the diagrams, is there a plug and relay at the glove box end and two plugs at the torch end? If there are two at the torch end is the second one an Aux socket? Just had a look at The How To's and did not see a how to make your own loom. macafee2 |

Hi Ian,
No problem, please find the instructions that came with the torch kit. As Suffolk Boy says the early type of fuse box had a socket to plug into (a blue plug). Later fuseboxes did not have one. The relay is supplied with the auxiliary power socket kit and the torch kit does not have one and just plugs into the fuse box. I hope this helps.

thanks gents, I'm learning a lot from this. The instructions are top notch, thank you Dorset Bob!
I'm just going to wonder out to the car to look at my fuse box to see if I have the socket in diagram 17. macafee2 |

I must have the later fuse box as mine is a 2005 and looks different to the box in the diagram.
I take it, I follow Chucks method of wiring in the torch. attached is a picture of my fuse box. macafee2 |

Why not get a Chinese LED light that can be charged in the cigar lighter?
Some of these are very powerful and can do much more than a normal torch. And while at it, why does a moderator not correct the spelling in the headline??? |

If you can -- good! depending on model, you might have a charger point in the boot as well. |

Why not just wire it (with an inline fuse) to the very convenient but useless (in most cars) wiring harness for the electric seat, right under the drivers seat, a permanant 12 volts just sat there ?
