Did you pour water into the sunroof drainage hole to test the new fix, I did this and had same problem with water dripping down where the ITS bag is, just had to try out and have not had any future leaks.

Best regards

Malcolm

Evening Ken

Have you cut the duck bills off behind wheel arches and made sure drains are clear?
Pour a bottle of water down each of the 4 drains and observe water flow at each wheelarch?

Someone may have put wire down the drains which is a no no
(may have pierced the pipe?)

Hopefully just a blockage at the duck bills which will cause water to backup into roof lining

Hi Ken.
Sounds like it could be the scuttle panel clips leaking, water coming in through the headlining could be the fact that the tube is full of water and can not get out because the ducks bill is clogged up, cut the bill off link below for both the above.

not yet cut duck bill im seeing my mechanic on saturday pm he will have another look thinner than me lol
i did pour water into drain it was holding as though drain was blocked
i then stirred the water and some came down the side of the door post it would seem to me to be coming from behind the vent pipe which couples upto the door vent

if weather permits i will put full lock on wheel and try to access duck bill tomorrow

thanks for your advices

Default sunroof drain passenger side

evening all
my mechanic pal was ill saturday so this morning 8 am sunny day i set to the job myself albeit struggled with age and weight lol

removed front nearside wheel managed to wiggle lining out of way and found the fish tail it felt wet trimmed with scissors and got WET with pipe contents.

tested same and working ok

checked drivers side with water little flow so carried out same exercise cut off fishtail no water poured some down and again pour flow
pushed some 3/8 dia plastic pipe into drain and blew down same pushing muck out tested all ok.

tested rear pipes water flowing so leaving same.

biggest job now drying cabin carpet out praying for sun and heat lol.

Thanks to all concerned

Ps never changed a wheel in 6.5 years on this car took the wind out of my sails need a holiday

Hi Steve, Great minds and all that. I've just solved the sunroof leak on my green ZT HERE!
I've just seen your thread and now need to cut off the duck bills.

I too had the same problem in not knowing whether to use a inner or outer sleeve, I made a diagram to convince me which was the better option. I used 2x plastic sealant gun nozzles in the end, they are a perfect and tight fit, also finished with a jubilee clip.

Hi Wes.
What great idea to use an abundant product, which can of cause be used after the sealant as all been used up, as long as that ducks bill is cut of the water flow will be good well worth adding this to a small how to I have also posted the same on you thread cheers Arctic.
