If you are totally stuck I have somewhere in the garage an A frame that fastens on to the bottom wishbones and fastens down with ratchet tie belts. The other end fits on the tow ball. To tow you just disengage the steering lock and you can pull the car no driver required. You would need a lighting board running off the tow car.
I would say I am up in Scotland and suspect postage would be about twenty pounds. Remember the tow car has to be as big as the car you are pulling.

What do you mean duff clutch? If it is still driving and not slipping you can drive the car without a clutch, just start it in gear and go up and down the box using revs to match speed and you can select gears

Done that before, bit of rev matching and judderry junctions! Best go in the middle of the night with less traffic so you have to stop less.

Do you have get you home breakdown cover Ian? Is so and it covers the driver not the car then worth driving it back, and if you get any problems they can get you the rest of the way.

Drove my Freelander back from Salisbury with no clutch and it wasn't a problem.

What a bargain, the bumper must be worth £400, wheels £300, seats £200, and it as a new pulley just fitted so well worth spending the £500 for a new clutch good luck to whom purchases the car certainly one worth saving that's for sure.

There are a few advisories from the last MOT that would need rectifying for it's new MOT in November which may well be more than advisories if they have not been seen to in the mean time but seems worth ploughing some money into.
