Nice to see Allen today at the garage.
I will get in touch with the show organiser on Thursday, when I am back in for a full day,
and see how I can organise a regional club stand along our trade stand.
I am sure they will be delighted to have a dedicated 75 ZT presence this year, especially as it is now 10 years on since the demise of the MG Rover factory.
As it is a two day event, members could probably choose a preferred day if they cannot attend for the full weekend.
As soon as I get some details, I will let everyone know.
We were intending to attend the show again this year, as it is a good promotional platform for us for the South West Region. Not sure how many cars we will have to take, as it is getting them ready in time, especially as we have been particularly busy in the workshop of late with everybody else's cars!! not that I am complaining.
We will have one show stopper this year as I have a rare MG ZR 160 + express van which will definitely be ready.

Hi Allen
Will you make a Club booking on behalf of those members attending and then we can forward our entry fee to you.
At £5 for car + 2 people it's great value.. Some pics from last years event...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=051FcFz1B6g something for everyone here.
cheers Ian

Just been reading through the details of the Powderham show and I see that we get all day Friday to set up and that there is free entertainment for exhibitors on both Friday and Saturday evening, with a Beer tent and food on site this looks a great weekend for a fiver. There are camping and caravan facilities available as well..
Cheers Ian

For those who have never been to Powderham before, as a veteran of the event, both with a trade stand, and also as a member of the Crash Box Club for many years, it is definitely worth a visit. The show ground is very large and accomodates a large variety of events and exhibits. The steam engine section is very good, and in the evenings there is entertainment in the beer tent (this year it is going to be Friday and Saturday) and the large steam engines line up outside with all the lights on which is a spectacular picture.
The main arena has events and processions during the course of each day, and usually each club stand has a chance to run their vehicles through the ring.

The camping ground is also very good for anyone who wants to camp, with excellent facilities-modern porta loos and even showers.

I have mentioned the event to quite a few of our customers, and also told them how to join the club if they want to. I will see if we can get a poster from the organiser to put up at the garage and I can put something on our own website about the Club having a stand at the show.

Hopefully we will be blessed with good weather, lets keep our fingers crossed.
We look forward to meeting you over the weekend.

Have you got the photos of Burt that I sent you, Lynn?

I've talked to Allen about this and agreed that I'd put Burt on your stand and Spike on the OC stand.
