A quick oil and filter change done upon our return from the kings lynn meet, it’s nice to drop the oil when the engine is nice and warm.

The next installment of 'Carry on rustproofing', unfortunately no Barbara Windsor or Sid James, just waxing Regardless, painting it like Constable, Spying more, Cruising over all the nooks, trying to Doctor it safe, sending the rust Abroad, At my convenience. Up the jungle of gaps and hopefully it will be alright Jack.

Ordered myself a new Bosch 5" angle grinder and set of flap discs, in preparation for refurbishing the rear suspension and subframe.
I've already got new suspension arms, so first order of business is getting them prepped and painted to a decent standard before they go on the car. |

Get yourself a pack of dust masks if you haven't already done so, you will be amazed at the amount of mess that is generated when doing this job.

Only splashing out as my old grinder is an M10 thread and I can't find discs for it anywhere. (And the cost of a new M14 spigot, lock flange and spanners is the same price as a whole new grinder) |

Got the paint off the two new rear lower arms, and then a couple of coats of primer back onto the bare metal.
I wasn't expecting the as-delivered paint to be much good from what others have said here, but I didn't think it would be as bad as it was....really looks as though they were just blown over with spray paint straight from forming - complete with scale, crud and zero surface prep. Very telling that it was already flaking off from transit damage (presumably on the boat over from India, as it was all bubble wrapped when it was posted)... |

Changed the rattling nearside drop link with a spare I had in the shed.
