I agree Rover made a cracking car with the 75. I was at a friend's birthday celebrations yesterday and people were commenting on my car along those very lines, that it looked in excellent condition, for its age, some couldn't believe that it was nearly 18 years old. Rover started to make great cars again with the 75, just as they ran out of money.!!

I have to agree.....and there was something very special about the early examples, that seemed to get lost as the model progressed.

The early cars were beautifully appointed and built, the brand was doomed when BMW killed it off at the disastrous launch, the British press did an excellent assassination job thereafter by essentially telling the public not to buy the car, ( I mean who wants a sleepers and pipe car, when you can have a Mondeo, so went the rhetoric) and the incredibly incompetent management did the rest.

Unfortunately, all so very true. Only in the UK would the press actively tell our public not to buy their own product

And yet the 75/ZT is only now starting to prove what a well designed and well built car it actually was

Congratulations I still have 2 weeks to wait until my 75 is the big two zero and like you it’s used almost daily and still looks like it’s 12 months old. (Plenty polish).
