Although I've had a few lesser episodes since the original thankfully I've never had another full blown one.

I used to get mild attacks of it, running from middle of back ,through my butt, and down the back of the leg. I found hanging by my arms for a minute or so,taking the weight off my legs helped,i.e. stretching my back.

Blimey there's a lot of it about....
Its the reason I swapped back to a 75 from an MGF. I had 4 sessions in 3 years and have permanently damaged the nerve to my right foot so walk with a limp and can't feel my small toe. Can't raise my right heel off the ground :¬( Various docs / x-rays / mri scans & they say two discs are degenerating. Think I frightened the my GP when I curled up on his floor sweating in pain! They could bolt it all up which they say wouldn't fix the nerve but would cure the pain. Thankfully it doesn't hurt as long as I don't carry anything heavy so I'm putting it off as long as I can. I miss playing badminton, squash etc. walking miles & for a long time couldn't kick start my m'bike but its slowly improving. Keeping active is definitely the way to go, I find anything that stretches the spine is good. Fittest I've been in years despite the lack of sport. Good luck with it & take care.

You need something a lot stronger than that George, something on prescription, something like tramadol that specifically targets nerve pain.
