We in Hartlepool, voted a football club mascot as the town Mayor A monkey& now he's almost a permanent member of the council as he's wangled the voting so he stays unopposed for 7 yearsThat's how disillusioned the voters were,no-one cares anymore Can't stop shaking my head

Wasn't going to, as Plymouth is entirely run by one of the main parties (who shall remain nameless) and my experience of the planning process for instance shows that it the city is entirely bent, and to make it worse none of the Councillors have any realistic or sensible vision for the city... but a candidate from the aforementioned party shoved a leaflet through the door which incensed me so much that apathy was replaced by anger and I voted for the sitting Councillor (who is from another party) simply to try and keep the idiot out.
So, yes I voted
