Clutch Parts
Hi Guys,
Just as i have fixed the injector/fuel problems in my car something had to go! Driving to work on the M27 this morning sat in traffic in the outside lane and my clutch pedal goes to the floor, fluid leaking out of the gearbox bellhousing so the worst case has happened. My question is... are the slave cylinders and clutches identical to those found in the BMW 320d? Garage has quoted around £500 which I cannot afford so am looking to do the job myself (going to be difficult I am aware) Thanks Martin |

Snap Martin
On my way to work last Thursday on the M271 just before M27 junction 3, went to change gear and pedal just goes straight to the floor! The AA turned up pretty promptly and towed me to the garage the clutch was changed at exactly 6 months ago to the day! This has been the 4th time the clutch has failed in the least two years. It goes almost exactly every 6 months. Fortunately my warranty has always covered it but that expires in a few weeks time so enough is enough. As soon as I get it back I will be getting rid of it! I'm no expert, but I don't think they are the same clutches as the 320. Someone in the know will no doubt be along shortly. Sorry I can't help any more than that. Rob |
