Default Badges

Hello All,

Another daft question coming up. I recently purchased a ZT-T badge to proudly fit on the tailgate of the ZT-T, it looks a bit naked without it on there. At the same time I bought some of the MG "flags" that were fitted to the face lift cars.

The problem:

What position should the ZT-T badge occupy? Any ZT-T owners got a snapshot of theirs, or how did you decide where to place it?

What the correct position for the flag badges as fitted to the Rover 75 tourer/ MG ZT-T?

Your help, as ever, is very much appreciated.

Cheers,

Michael T

The ZT-T badge is Just under the number plate & central. There should be at least one picture in the gallery.

The ZT-T script goes in exactly the same place as the ZT on the Mk1 cars - to the right of the number-plate. Below the ZT-T is where the Union/chequered flags sit.
The CDTi script would go on the other side of the number plate.
Has your car previously been debadged?

Ahh, right.. so all I need now is for some very kind person to take a very close up shot so I can have a play around with the badge I bought to get it in the right place.

I want to put my other union/chequered flags here (picture nicked from ikorodu on his Holiday snaps thread):

If you note they are on this piece:

So does anyone have a closer shot of this with their badge in place?

As for my car being debadged - not sure whether it was done with the previous owners consent or whether the little hooligans who smashed every window on the car did it for him.

Cheers,

Michael T

Here's a saloon version which should be about the same.

As for the car you show, isn't that a Rover 75 Tourer?

The MG differed from the Rover in having a combi chequered/Union flag badge whereas Rovers, not being sporty enough, just got a Union flag!

Yes, you're right it is just the "flag" version. But I wanted you to see what what I was getting at. i haven't been able to find a good photo of either in all fairness to be able to give me an idea.

Maybe it's just me who likes taking photos of the flags:

Cheers,

Michael T

From what I can see in the press photos such as below, there were no flags on the MG version D-post pillars.

This was the same with the saloons, the MG has nothing in that little panel behind the rear door whereas the Rover had a little union flag. Excess weight on an MG!

Aye, but they are Mk1 versions...

I want to mix a Mk2 feature on to mine...

Cheers,

In that case send Tootall a PM, he has a ZTT in Mk2 guise. He worked in the paintshop at Longbridge.

I never noticed the flag on the face-lift.
