Hi all ,
I am in the process of removing the interior from my Tourer so as to sort out water leak, dry carpets etc.
Everything so far has come off/out as expected with no issues.......apart from the wiring to the cigarette lighter. I can't see or work out how to release the two wires from the unit.
I tried pulling reasonably hard, but stopped as I was thinking I could rip the wires out!
Any suggestions from those in the know as to how to release these two plugs.
Oh yes, I have very large hands and fingers, and can hardly get my fingers down past the black plug too!

Figured out another way, I managed to feed the whole cig lighter/cup holder unit thru the hole in the centre console.
Now my issue is working out how to get the whole console over and off the handbrake lever and what is left of the gear lever.
Maybe I should have lunch and a cuppa first!

All sorted, eventually.
Managed to get console over handbrake.
Found 4 Mls of water in the deepest spot. Man the carpet was heavy too. Luckily I only had one side that was wet!
Now to dry the car out, and the carpet, and find and fix leak.
Graeme
