Default tapping sound

Hi all,

Had a full service done on my R75 last thursday, since having the service I have noticed a tapping noise coming from the engine now, contacted the garage about this as I suggested it was the tappets and they said it is more than likely to do with the engine flush it had and the new oil and the tapping noise should go once the oil has had time to move around the engine....anybody else had this issue?

2.0 v6 petrol engine, the tapping sound starts about 30 seconds after start-up and is continuous dose not decrease, as you stand in front of the car looking at the engine it seems to be coming from the back just slightly off-center to the left.

I know what zola66 is on about, my V6 had an engine flush as well, about 2 years ago, and the tappets have been noisy ever since. The car still runs really well, so I have ignored it.
Some people have recommended additives such as Lucas oil additive, but I've been too afraid to use it, in view of many comments on this site about engine additives doing more harm than good.
