I used a set of aftermarkets from Ebay which had colour coded sensors and everything I needed in a kit form. Sounder was attached to rear panel under window (saloon) and a wire taken from the reverse lights to activate. Cheap as chips and worked well!

£13 in my case! For the whole kit.

A continuous sound usually suggests a faulty sensor (or its wiring) Cyril. I'd refit your original ECU and inspect the installation visually.

When this happened to me - continuous beep when in reverse - I just pulled out the wiring from within the foam underneath the bumper, and sprayed contact cleaner on all the connections. You don't even have to take the bumper off.

Hi Cyril,

This new one is the part I sold you? Remember me asking if your old parking aid was white? Apparently they're not interchangeable - the black one's fit earlier cars and need a separate sounder/speaker, the white ones use the "chime" function of the IPK. If there's a problem I've no problem refunding - but my PayPal has not received your payment yet? Could you check that please?
