any tips on removing upper rear suspension arm
Hi so all bolts loosened and ready to remove the arm, any tips on how to get it out, also the NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD- bolt with the captive nut has unscrewed and has come out is it just the arm that's holding it in place it unscrewed as it was loosened as if threading its way out so hoping tomorrow its just wiggle the arm to remove the bolt

I don't fully understand your post.
I removed the damper bottom bolt and removed the bolt from trailing arm to upper arm. With the bolt removed from the other end of the upper arm it just wiggles to the nearside/off side which ever you are doing. make sure you have unclipped the sensors of both arms. Have you fully removed the bolt where the captive nut is? Once fully undone you have need to put a big screw driver under the flange of the bolt and lever it it. macafee2 |

Are you sure the bolt is totally clear of the captive nut? If so, put a smaller spanner behind the bolt head and lever it out.

Lol nephew was smallest we could get under and was trying with a screwdriver, will get a spanner on it tomorrow, can I ask is there enough room for the bolt to come out when it’s free ?

Yes, once the inner bolt is removed, you can wiggle the arm free of the subframe.

have you still got the spring in place? once I had detached the damper and trailing arm I removed the spring before pulling the arm out
