Cool

Morning all from bright but cloudy Saltash. It is supposed to be reaching the dizzying heights of 25 degrees today.

Morning all, great pics Freddie, I was looking for the flypast yesterday as I was sorting out the garage, all I saw was the Norfolk air ambulance though!

Hello Andy, how is the foot and the move going? Last week I pulled my back out and 2 days ago a sliding door was slammed onto an index finger. Boo hoo! did that hurt, brought tears to my eyes, it was nothing to cry about. Your injury was more serious.

Hello Freddie, it looks as though you had a fab day and took lots of photos of interesting cars. In 1994, whilst visiting Weston Supermare, at the hotel I was staying in, I met a nice chap called Pierre Picton. I had gone to Weston Super Mare for an inquest. Pierre asked if I would like to ride in Chitty Bang Bang. He had been in the movie business and bought the car once the film had been made. Pierre had brought the car down from the midlands for a charity event in the town and the local Ford dealership said they would look after it in storage for the weekend for security (no charge). Chitty Bang Bang had no indicators for turning right or left and all I had to do was to stick my hand out for the left turns and do the classic wave of the hand for slowing down. I expect you remember how to do them. Pierre gave me period clothes and goggles to wear as we drove from the garage to the promenade on the sea front, toot-toot!

Seeing your photos, brought that happy and special memory back

Sure do was part of the driving test then.
See they have also dropped the reversing round corners now.

Hi Phil, the foot is coming along ok, I’m supposed to be resting it but not worked so hard in a long while!

All moved in now, just boxes everywhere at the moment, don’t be injuring yourself any more mate, it’s overrated.

Been to my "new" local pub for their carvery meal. Excellent food and plenty of it. Desserts to die for. And very reasonable priced.
