I've also had issues in the past with the little one-way valve Mike describes above - definitely worth a try if the problems point to this.

just noticed my clutch pedal when it goes to the floor and the gears won't engage all I need to do is raise the pedal upwards and all is well for a couple of kms? is that air in the system or is my pump going?

Obviously ,you get a leak somewhere.

Worst case being the slave

no no leak anywhere, only thru the cap air hole which i plugged as i don't have the condom and it was gushing out thru there, not anymore since i plugged it

My last car did that
After lifting the clutch pedal a few times it stuck to the floor like a ton of bricks
There was no leaks and all fluids normal.
In the end replaced master cylinder and all was fine

Wayne2015 was your last car a rover 75 cdt? is there a different master slave cylinder on the petrol 75s?
hehe condom the rubber insert that goes inside

Deffo not a Rover.
Was a VW Corrado VR6 petrol....

I have had that and it was the little valve at the end of master piston ..

See above ..

Have an eye at it if you have kept the part .
