Default MG ZT 2.5L Petrol RHD to LHD Rover 75 2.0L petrol

Hi Everyone!
my rover 75 2.0L petrol engine blown up . I'm from Armenia and here is no way to find genuine parts to rebuild the engine so I need new one just contacted to rimmer bros the engine price is 2500 GBP ( without shipping ) absolutely high for me. After all looking I think it would be better to bought a rover 75 from england, germany or japan. Does anyone know will 2.5 L petrol fit my rover which was 2.0L petrol? is RHD or LHD important when I'm replacing engine?. I find MG ZT with 70.000KM it is cheap around $500 by auction in japan will I be able to replace my car engine and gearbox.
i need that car delivered to Georgia beocuse of Armenian customs prices are very very high.
Thank you for your time and advices.
if you can drive a car to my place I can offer very very good summer for you in Armenia

Kind regards Miran H.

Exchanging your 2.0 for a 2.5 will require more than just replacing the hardware. The electronic control systems will not be compatible - I don't think (??). You'd be wise to replace it with exactly the same engine. It don't think it will matter whether the donor is LHD or RHD, but someone with a better understanding might comment. At least your thread is back at the top.

I'd suggest you delete your personal details from your post. It may attract spy bots.

A fantastic opportunity for someone wanting a bit of an adventure - if I wasn't so busy, I'd be up for it.
If you can find someone to drive a 2.0L to you, that'd be a way around the problem.

If you are buying a complete car as a donor, you can swap the important bits (electronically speaking)

These include EWS3, EMS2000, key transponders, remote boards, SRS DCU, BCU, LSM and IPK.

Your car will then take on the entire electronic identity of the donor, VIN included and will work perfectly.

If you were in the UK, I could have done this quite easily using your original electronics, with a ZCS coding change.

Here are some Ebay UK examples

Car one

Car Two

Car one is manual, and car two automatic, I would be tempted to buy a water pump, and timing belt kit, as these are much easier to fit with the engine removed
