A-pillar liner removal (75 saloon)
I'm trying to get the A-pillar liners off. The top three clips are fairly easy to undo but the fourth one refuses to budge. If I use any more force something will break. Is there a knack to getting this one off? (I don't know exactly where it is).
Dave's pic here shows the base of the A-pillar with the liner removed but I can't see any sign of the pesky fourth clip. |

There's only the 3 push fit clips that you've found, the bottom(nearest the windscreen) needs pulling from a different angle, sort of towards the middle of the dash. A pic from Rimmers shows the clip at the bottom

I was dealing with this a couple of months back.I wanted to mount a DAB antenna in the front windshield.I fear of breaking anything I left It and did a wire outside with magnet antenna on the roof.
There was some sort of band and It didnt help having airbags behind them either

PS. B-pillar upper trims won't come out of the car because the seat belt won't go through the slot in the slider (stupid design ).
I've just had to the unbolt the entire seat belt and take the trim & belt out together. |

Having got both belts & liners out I was able to get a better look at it. On the first one it turns out the collar was jammed solid because the plastic insert that it goes through had been put in on an angle, probably at the factory . A bit of 'persuasion' released the collar and enabled the D-loop (as Haynes calls it) to go through the slot in the slider.
The second collar wasn't jammed (plastic insert had been put in properly) so it could be separated from the D-loop easily. So, B-pillar liner problem solved now. I just can't see how the headlining will fit through any of the doors. It's too big. https://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/for...83#post2711583 |
