I much prefer the 1/2 size undertray from the 1.8.

Complete waste of time, unless you think........ **

1 I will get 100MPG with this aerodynamic component fitted to the underside of the car

2 As above, but the car will be much faster to accelerate away from the lights.

3 It will prevent my engine bay becoming soiled with road spray

4 I can complain if the garage fail to refit it, because the original fixings have long since disappeared and been replaced with 8,000,000 cheap cable ties from the pound shop

Of course being stored behind the shed, it won't be stolen by Halfords in Birmingham either

Lovely

Brian.

I don't get 100 mpg, only 90.

Totally agree with item two AND as my car is a diesel it's so much quieter with the tray.--

Item three. You could eat your dinner off my engine or gearbox so effective is that tray against dirt, salt spray etc.

Wouldn't let any garage near my under tray. Also I've never had a screw loose.---( What did I just say ?? )

Merry Xmas.

As Colvert said. My engine is clean, and stays that way. I DO get 100mpg, and it is a bit of a job to get back on, but, I changed my oil yesterday, and had cleaned the car the day before, glistening,. We went somewhere on a main road the day before and the road was a little muddy. When I took the undertray off to change the oil and see if everything else was ok, there was slight mud on the undertray but nowhere else apart from the front of the sills. Undertray.......... job done.

Said this many times, my tray is cut back just short of the drain plug so I can change oil with it on. As for losing stuff, how many of us have dropped a bolt/screw/nut on a perfectly clean floor never to be seen again?

More likely to get stolen in Tipton, along with your L plates.

And yes, I have had L plates stolen!

My ZT didn't have an undertray when I first looked under it; it either went missing on a service, or was a Project Drive casualty. I got a nice cut-down (turbo) one. I can change the oil and filter with this one (as long as the filter is not overtightened).

Been sucking the oil out of my engine with a vacuum pump.

Ten years on, no problems doing the oil change this way and my best suit I wear to do this has never had a spot of oil on it.---

I drink my tea and eat my rich tea biscuits while the oil vacates my engine.

I checked the volume coming the first time I used this method.

6 3/4 litres out. The tray stays where it is. I have a pivoting mirror on a telescopic arm to have a look around under the engine just in case there's a leak somewhere. Up to date, never found one..---
