Those ISO connectors on your car should plug straight into the back of your new stereo

Just swap them over on the radio side, reverse +ve, very common. Causes the windscreen wiper to come on when you turn the radio off

Just tested, it will definitely not work, because the shape is not the same (90° rotated)

So i need an adapter or rewired with the plug of my old device (which have the good shape)

From what I can make out from your photos, you can cut off the double ISO plug from old WinCE harness (pic 3). Then cut off the large black 40 pin plug from harness that came with new stereo (pic 2) and join wires together in colour order using bullet connectors.

One ISO plug is for speakers (8x wires), and the other is power/ground (red, yellow, black etc).

Now cut off red plug from your old WinCE loom (pic 3) these are the steering wheel controls. Use the two wires coming from red plug and connect to the two SWC wires coming out of new stereo harness (SWC from new stereo will be labelled either on stereo or in instruction manual).

You should end up with new stereo harness having the double ISO plug from old WinCE (power & speakers), and the red ISO plug with the two SWC wires (green & black) connected.

Your car harness grey and brown ISO (pic 1) plugs into double ISO connector, and your blue/green/yellow plugs into red ISO connector.

Key 1 is the wire you need in combination with ground (should be on the loom of the stereo).

You can cut off the connector or splice in the wires themselves. You need blue/purple and blue/orange for the steering wheel control IIRC. It does not matter which order you connect them.

EDIT: Just tested, connecting B/P - B/O from the grey connector is working !!!
Thanks @Sjonnie

@Dallas: i just see that my old adapter is not wired (for my car) !
On the adapter, there are just 2 wires on the central (green) part of the connector...
But from the car connector, the middle part is NOT wired... so i don't need to plug this adapter...

Also, after a (long) testing on the road today all is fine except... Radio !
Do the Rover 75 antenna need to be powered ? i can only get 2/3 FM stations, which is very low (even if i never listen radios, it can be useful sometimes, like the highway radio info.)

Last thing, i have read on this forum than "ILLU" wire is useless but it's not the case.

Edit: Just see this connector, look like a GPS one but my car don't have GPS (it's a "pack luxe" but from benelux, which don't have GPS)
This connector is used on my original radio

Hi,

Great you got the SWC working. Your wiring is apparently different then mine since mine were connected to the yellow connector (IIRC).

The antenna is indeed powered. Depending on your original equipment, the antenna wire is located in the back of the car (in my ZT-T it was in the boot well). If so, you will need an extension cable to connect the radio to the antenna lead in the back.

I will try to find the posts I made about this for my ZT-T...
