Default Problem of motor's power

Hello,

I come to you for a motor problem ...

My titine is 2003, 15 years, 274 000 kms ...

Problem that has been accentuated on a journey of 150 kms.

Capping the 2nd and 3rd at 2,800 rpm, same throttle pedal on the floor ...
On the highway, the same, uphill, the mouise or flat ... I could not exceed 110 in 5th ...

Sometimes, there is untimely acceleration, as if the car was accelerating again and then it caps again and grazes ...

On the highway, the same, uphill, NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD- ... or flat ... I could not exceed 110 in 5th ... then sometimes it went off in "I graze" mode ... or normally .. .

Suddenly, I disconnected the meter similar ....
egr valve cleaned ...
the same.

management a garage 70 km from my home a week after ...
the car did not exceed 90 km / h ...

one day in the week the car had difficulties to start ... it arrived at the end of the twentieth time.

so ... garage ... balance sheet of the t4: the 2 diesel pumps out of service + change of diesel filter ...
400 euros for the tank pump and 250 for the front pump !!!!! : ((((

with the manpower, I have for more than 1000 euros !!! : (((

What do you think ???

what advice can you give me?

thank you !!!

I am lost because i can not put 1000 euros in a old car as her....

sorry for the english of google translation

In tank pump can be found HERE

Underbonnet pump can be found HERE

Bonne chance

By unplugging the electrical connector on the fuel filter, the ECM (Engine Control Unit) "sees" the pressure at 4.2 Bar, or 420 KPA, and will not inhibit the engine speed.

You should not run the car like this, only as a quick test

The only pump I would recommend for the job is the one I linked too, aftermarket pumps tend to fail quickly in service.

Your garage who diagnosed low fuel pressure, must be an ex Rover dealer to have access to T4? and the pump I linked to will be the one they were quoting 250 Euros to replace

Merci...

Could be a blockage in the fuel line - check that the UBP wasn't fitted with the plastic inlet transit cap still in place. If it has then it can jam in the fuel pipe causing a partial blockage and give the symptoms you have.

Hi Mike, I don't think the OP has changed anything yet, not surprising if the garage are quoting circa 1000 euro to change the ITP and UBP

But it's always a good idea to check these things
