Ignition leads for V6
Hi
I’m looking to give my 2.5 V6 a full service and I’d like to replace the ignition leads but having trouble finding some. Where can I get some and which ones do you recommend? Is it a difficult job to replace on the V6? Thanks.

First of all Ravinder, there aren’t any ignition leads on the RH bank. Secondly, unless your V6 is very early (like mine) there won’t be any on the LH bank either!
Remember the maxim: “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”. Any spare cash burning a hole in your pocket can always be sent to me! Simon

Hi Ravinder
Modern engines use coil packs, rather than ignition leads. The coil pack plugs onto the spark plug. The coil packs just plug into the loom. https://www.dmgrs.co.uk/collections/...0070-nec000110 Cheers Andrew |

Early V6 only
Early V6 engines have three leads from coil packs under plastic engine cover to the front of car plugs. In later cars all plugs have direct coil packs

How'do Rav
I'm Assuming from what Simon stated - Early Cars had 3 Coilpacks and a Lead set for Ignition - and changed to a 6 Coil Pack set-up ? Paul. |

Hi Rav.
I would think yours is an early bremi coil set up as it's an early 2002. https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-GRID001626 Item 5 https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-NGC000020 |

Early set up showing the three leads
Here is a picture of early car set up. You can see the three leads coming from the three separate coil packs
