Parking Aid mystery!
I have a bit of a mystery I hope the collective expertise here might be able to help with.
My 04 car has the parking aid fitted, which I am trying to get working. However, I think I might be missing a bit. In the boot I have found the reversing ecu. It has plugged into it a white and a black plug. I assume the white plug is the sensors loom from the bumper. It's the black plug which is causing me concern! A while ago I put up a picture of some unconnected plugs under my dashboard https://the75andztclub.co.uk/forum/s...d.php?t=285597 Now, the small black connector (looks grey in the pic) dangling the lowest is the other end of the black connector in the ecu in the boot. At least, it's the same colour/ style of plug and same colour wiring. So.... ..... What should that be plugged into under the dash? Jamie

Just a hunch, it could be from the sounder in the instruments

The smaller one is for cruise control, the other larger plug is for traction control, nothing to do with the parking sensors
The black plug in the boot is the parking sensor power lead, it also has a wires for the sounder in the instrument pack. Russ

Russ,
Is the red - green- red lead from the black plug the wire to the IPK sounder? My parking sesnsors have gone silent/ also when i engage reverse gear there is no beep - sensors are still clicking so receiving power and theRefore no issue with the fuse or parking ECU - so am thinking the wire from the black plug to the sounder. Cheers
