Hi Ian, any idea of the shuttle departure time we will be going out on Friday morning?
I live in Kent so need to work out if an overnight stay near the tunnel is needed.

Hi Steve
Total drive time from Calias to the hotel is approx 3.5 hrs, so I thought I'd try for 09.00ish departure to give us plenty of time to have a couple of breaks on the way to regroup, then maybe stop off for a snack somewhere around Antwerp. There is club member that lives close to Antwerp so I'll contact him to see if he can reccomend somewhere that can accomodate us all for lunch.
I'll know more after I've spoken with Eurotunnel again early in February.
Cheers Ian

I'm keeping an eye on it Chris and a very good point to raise..
It looks as if no deal means we will need to go to one of 2500 UK post offices and get a 1968 IDP which will cover all the countries (France Belgium Netherlands) we will be passing through on our trip. Don't rush out now as they (1968 IDP) are not available until February 1st
Here's what you need to obtain one
https://www.postoffice.co.uk/interna...driving-permit cost will be £5.50

However if a deal of some sort is agreed then we may be OK with just a full UK licence so because we are not traveling until September and IDPs are valid for a year from issue... DON'T PANIC... Well not yet anyway.

UPDATE

I have reserved another 5 rooms at the hotel and that is all that is available so if you are sitting on the fence maybe it's time to make a decision, availability for this trip closes 00.00 on the 31st January.
Cheers Ian

Check to see if you can renew them on line Chris.
Ours had expired but we were still able to renew on line, you can even use your own photographs.
New passports were with us in around 10 days.
Linky here https://www.gov.uk/apply-renew-passport
Cheers Ian

Can I ask the peeps driving down from the north east, Yorkshire or Lincs what their plans are? I’ve not decided about driving down or hotels before crossing etc. Would prefer a convoy! Also keen on Trikeys excursion over there!
