Default P1255 -Pre-fuel rail pressure sensor

Over the last few days, following startup on my rover 75 2.0 cdti the engine control malfunction light has flashed up once or twice and then has not appeared following my journey to work (6 miles) no faults on drive and the automatic trans goes ok.
Any one had this fault code? 94,000 miles with full service history, thanks

The likely cause of the MIL light is the electrical connector on the fuel filter head, this will also be the cause of the fault code

Smile Fault cured I think

Many thanks for the rapid response, I disconnected the sensor and a bit of electrical cleaner and the fault has not come on again following 50 miles, new to 75 ownership and only got the best bargain at auction in October and happy to have it as my daily driver.
Look forward to meeting other owners soon.
