yea I'm sure the littler hose fitting on the off side of the expansion tanks is clear, as with the engine running there is a steady flow of coolant into the expansion tank from this point.

The Diesel models bleed themselves just about, make sure the heater is on and if necessary undo the bleed on the hose until it expels any air and you shouldn't have any problems.

I'm fitting an FBH tomorrow for a customer and the coolant loss isn't normally anything to worry about.

It's not a V6 but if it was I can't see what all the fuss is about, they're normally not that difficult

Extra work that's not needed with the diesel engine. The bleed screw in the heater hose will do everything that is necessary so put your tools away.
