We always have a few tins in stock as we get many power cuts where we live, (power lines run through fir tree plantations), and power can be off for several hours, even days
Combined with our large camping stove, it means we have some half decent meals ready to go

Can’t see any other reason to stockpile tins of food.........and I voted to remain

I'm stockpiling canned goods, water and fuel. But that's for the impending Zombie Apocalypse.
I'm awaiting the hoards of rotting, brain dead, flesh eaters to descend upon us (I've been to Basingstoke to get used to it)
Its more likely than having to hoard food for any other reason.

I will not explain as I refuse to be drawn into a political debate about what might happen in a few months time. If most people don't see the need to put aside some tins just in case, that's fine.

You know what, the world isn't about to end - if you want to stash some stuff in your garage that's fine and at least you aren't panic buying. Panic buying will be what makes the 'fear' a reality and I can see no good reason for it. That's not to say it won't happen obviously but almost magically I suspect the shelves will fill up again

But don't forget to keep the surprise part going Andy, take all the labels off
