Unidentified cables in passenger footwell
(Apologies if this belongs in the ICE forum, but as a newbie apparently I’m not allowed to post there.)
There is an unidentified harness of cables sticking out from the general direction of the radio in my ZT-T’s passenger footwell. It ends with a connector roughly 2x1 cm with two times five rows of connectors. Unfortunately my newbie status prevents me from posting a picture of it. What could it be? |

That will most likely be the plug for the CD autochanger (if fitted) which is mounted inside the glovebox.

It's either the CD changer or it could be the cruise control ECU plug

Probably the CD, that’s what I thought. Seems like mine is missing. Are you supposed to be able to see it in the glovebox?

If you've got an autochanger then it takes up pretty much all the available space in the glove box. Whip it out. Flog it to a retro lover and fit something you can plug your phone/mp3 into. Then the glove box can revert to its intended function of providing irritating rattles and knocks that you can't quite reach to fix while driving.

Probably something in the ICE section of the "How-To" forum.
