Bosal UK that made the original exhausts for our cars has indeed closed down.

There are exhausts made/marketed by the Bosal parent company but they aren't the same spec or shape although they are listed with the original part number

They do the pickup. I have to box it up and leave it to a post office. Pain in the bottom all the same!!

This is the box it arrived in. LOL.

I've got a GT back box on my1.8t and it's a well made piece of kit and has a lovely sound to it.

That wasn't a Birthday offering was it? I gave Mrs B a pair of aluminium step ladders once, she still recounts her appreciation years later.

In fairness, we had just moved house and she asked for something useful.

I tried that one, but after she offered to shove it sideways in a certain orifice, I erred on the side of caution and took her shopping instead

Mr Auto were selling genuine Bosal. Here's 1.8t/2.5V6 box I bought about four years ago.

Even tho the advert showed an OEM clamshell.

I've been waiting over a week now to hear back from Longlife in Bangor and Powerflow in Antrim. Looks like neither needs or wants my business!! Any Northern Ireland members out there know where else I could try for a stainless rear silencer within a sensible driving distance of Ballymena?

Dee's exhausts apparently do stainless, but I have only had a brief experience of a standard exhaust for an old Passat about 10 years ago. Was good service and price, but all he was doing was fitting an off the shelf back box.

They are on the Mill Road at Newtownabbey (below B and Q) Found their Facebook Page HERE. Have read of a few recommending them on the local 75/ZT pages They also list Powerflow on the Facebook. (although having looked at some of their images, am not so sure)

I get updates from AH Auto Services, after someone recommended them. Some of their work on Facebook looks impressive. (Is this the one in Antrim you spoke of?)
