Avoid pfjones towbars

Just bought a towbar from pfjones on fleabay, UPS signed on our behalf as we were out,and left it in front garden, card put through door said behind bin,!!
The box has been *carefully* looked after on its journey by ups,only resulting in two large holes,one at either end,and now there,s parts missing,
UPS now have to pick up towbar tomorrow,they then inspect the box, and eventually refund fpjones,
problem is fpjones WONT issue us with another towbar until they,ve had the money refunded from UPS, personally I think thats poor customer service from fpjones, and have now asked for a refund,

just spoken to pfjones, they are REFUSING ro even refund our money until ups refund them, avoid this company like the plague !!!!!!!!!

You have a contract with them, and they have a contract with UPS, its upto them to refund you and then for them to chase it up with UPS.

I'd go to ebay and get a refund done via paypal straight away

Well, maybe they'll learn that packaging for delivery especially by bulk couriers like UPS needs to be very good, and strong with it. Many heavy items I've had delivered (e.g. slide hammer 10lb) I have been lucky with mostly either the box or the taping/stapling on the box wasn't eve sufficient to hold the item if the box was given a good shake in the wrong direction: let alone thrown into/out of lorries and vans.

I shipped an overdrive, box dropped and parts were lost. Some bits arrived at the intended destination, but because the overdrive had the supplier's plate on it (Overdrive Repair Services, Sheffield) it ended up back there. They kindly repacked it for me and Interlink Express then collected it and correctly delivered it. They then had the cheek to try to charge me for this additional collection and delivery!

seller pfJones is still sticking to his decision to refuse to refund until ups refund him, and if ups deny responsibility,the seller will appeal, and we,d have to wait until the appeal was decided,
definately a company to avoid !!!
Ebay have said if its not refunded by 26th May,they will step in, hopefully they,ll refund on that date, siigghh

can admin please add this one to my other post and amend the title to show avoid pfjones, ta
