I missed it to maybe a good job we did as I'm getting more & more fed up with the way threads spiral.

Could not agree more.

Tho happy to say the mods are on top of it in the main.

A recent thread "What winds you up" got of to a great start with some really amusing posts - all about generic things then sadly we got the same old same old taking it down the personal route.

I actually posted that this - by some - was what wound me up!

Pleased to say the Mods deleted the overly personal bits and the thread then run its course in an adult way.

We all have differing views and opinions - Lord knows it would be a boring world if we didn't! - Lets live and let live.

Personally - if I did miss yet another bout of silliness then I for one am happy with that

Thumbs up

I do, and it's the LCOZ for me! I've made some great friends there and although I am no longer a Rover owner, I continue to support the club because of these friendships.

With all the nonsense going on in the wider world, I believe some people need to find a sense of perspective.

All the sniping and nastiness is completely unnecessary; I believe the majority would not speak to someone like that face to face!

Thankfully, none of that happens in the LCOZ. So that's where I am staying.

Apart from when I want to talk about penguins.

Oh...

I mentioned penguins didn't I...

Hmmm...

I think it's great to have choices and good to have as much discussion as possible to help make an informed decision at the end.

I don't think the robust discussion is a problem, so long as the facts can be picked out from it. Just a sign of some passion for the cars and the solutions.

Feels almost like a general election. Wonder who's ahead in the polls at the moment, vt4, toaf, or pscan?

I really don't know why the Vt4 thread was closed, no one was being disrespectful, just a difference of opinion.
I think Flyer got it right when he said "we are splitting into two camps". One camp firmly believes we should leave all the technical stuff to the experts, while the other thinks we should have a bash ourselves. Perhaps "nothing ventured, nothing gained".
I think that by my very nature, I would more naturally fall into the second camp, not because there is anything wrong with the experts, just simply because I am not made that way. In over 50 years of motoring, I have never used a garage for anything other than an MOT, and I am unlikely to change now.

it had run it's course Polly, all of he pros and cons are laid out, pics screenshots and debate... anything else is just fuel or discord...

I am sure Phil will start his own thread if he deems it necessary...
