She's going to be a fireman
Just had a call from our daughter, she has passed her medical to be a fireman, the "last" hurdle. She starts training in a few months.
They have to do various tasks related to the job before being offered the job but she passed all of those. Disappointed she is leaving the ambulance service but she will still be helping to save lives and help people. May be in due course will progress to driving the fire engine. macafee2 |

Congratulations to your daughter. That's a big step up, no pun intended.

Well done to your daughter Ian, it’s still a very important job that she will be doing. If she has passed the medical, then the next step is the actual firefighter training. She has done well to get through the various stages. I applied to join about 20 years ago, but never got past the aptitude tests.

Well done to your daughter Ian for wanting to be a Fireman and getting this far.
It's such an unselfish role to be a fireman - the willingness to risk themselves to save others deserves the greatest respect. |

Total respect to her.
One of those professions you hope you'll never need but pray they'll be there if you do. Congratulations. Wishing her all the very best and every success for the future. Andy. |
