I'm back on Chemo....
.....But it's no-where near as bad as it sounds.
As most people on here may have heard, I was due to go in for a stem-cell transplant on the 15th of this month, however my potential donor failed the medical, and so it was put on hold. Yesterday I had a meeting with my Hematologist at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, where I was informed that they have found another donor for me. If all goes well, the treatment will start the end of February. In the meantime, the last PET scan I had shows the tumor in my neck has gone completely, with only minor activity showing up in my lower abdominal glands. I've been penciled in for 1 session of mild chemo sometime during the next couple of weeks just to keep it at bay, but that should be all I need until then. If all goes well, I should still be able to make the last Nano meet of the year.

Good luck with it, and if people offer to help, take them up on it as the trips can be shared.
