Default Get well soon

The Flu that is going around now seems to be a nasty one.

The Flu can really knock you. I had a really bad experience with the flu when I was in my twenties. I've had it since but never quite like that.

You have my best wishes for a speedy recovery.

I had that flu over the Christmas period, i was nearly floored, my Dad took it just after the New Year and ended up in Hospital for three nights.

It is a nasty strain this type of flu and has hit many people really bad.

Hope you are feeling better.

I had it early December, got another dose just before Xmas...came out of Asda going back to my car almost called 999 couldn't breathe..the second bout lead to vertigo, dizzy, throwing up..found some amoxicillin a dentist had given me..it saved me I'm sure. Doctor gave me tabs for the vertigo, it went after about 4 days..but the flu omg it's only just cleared up.

Be careful it's done away with plenty of us old grumpy guys this winter, the NHS said if anyone is coughing blood or can't breathe call 999 immediately

There is the common one "Aussie" and now one from Japan, called something like "Yamigati" < < < rough spelling

I came down with it on Boxing day, spent every day in bed until 3rd Jan. Worst flu I've ever had, and seems to going round everywhere.

Dunno which one I had, didn't have an urge for a barbie or a craving for noodles.

Still not to late to get the jab - it won't protect everyone (especially bad luck if you catch flu in the week or two it takes to start working) but this is a nasty one. Many people reading this will be eligible for a free NHS jab at your GP or pharmacy (over 65 or medical condition such as asthma). I was in bed with fevers for a week. Wife and kids fine. We all had the jab, she and I both work in health so pretty much essential, and kids had it at school. Could have been so much worse though. Most days wifey has at least one patient with flu in intensive care!
