why could a vehicle show as "This vehicle hasn't had its first MOT"?

could it be that its not had an mot since the new computer logging system started being used?

just checked mot history of my S plate Bandit, no fails

My recent experience of this is that the vehicle was previously on a private plate.

Yep ^this^, my 75 was newly MOT'd on his private plate & then returned to a year orientated number plate before I bought it, what unbelievable hassle it was to get it taxed & insured because it didn't show up in the system

It took almost two weeks to sort out because online tick boxes do not cater for this Grrr

I won't be buying a private plate car again any time soon.

As far as I understand, you can only check MOT history with original plate and not a private plate.

I'm checking an a motorbike I used to own, had original plate all the time I had it and when I sold it
