PSA - Halfords dash cams.
Anyone who has a Halfords HDC series dash cam needs to be aware that the app has been withdrawn. This means there is no means of controlling the camera, altering settings or downloading footage except removing the card and extracting the files on a PC or laptop. This means my camera has had most of its functions disabled as there is no way of connecting to it except through the app! I have contacted Halfords but don't expect much of a response, now looking at Road Angel! Luckily the 75 has a Road Angel Pro, it is the camera in the Tf that is now affected.

Just fitted a Road Angel Pro with front and rear cameras to my ZTT and my daughter's Mini and so far so good. The app does drain your phone battery a bit, so probably need to keep it on charge if you want to use the live features.
Don't trust Halfords with much these days, especially their own brand.

Halfords dashcam.
Well, after a bit of searching I found that the HDC 400 I have is made by Ring. I downloaded the Ring Connect app and now have full control again! Why can't Halfords tell people this?
