Need more info. Pops.

Driving, parked ???

If driving, minimum 5 miles.
If parked, min 10 mins. ( Maybe a little more.)

When parked you could wait for the fan to start running and when it turns itself off, then check the temperature.

If your car normally runs with the gauge at 9 o'clock this usually means everything is OK.

Hiya John.... Drove about 10 miles, half of it by pass..... I set the display to show the temp on no 7........Did not go over 80c........My gauge is always bang in the middle at 9 o'clock...No problems..... Just seems to be running cool to me..... I was under the impression that the normal temp was about 98c...

Your thermostat seems to be opening a bit early.

Could have the wrong stat in it by somebody in the past.

Won't hurt your engine but if you want it hotter you'll have to fit a different stat.
