Fitting door mirrors

I seem to recall some time ago, reading a post that explained how to replace the door mirrors without removing the door cards, but can't seem to find it (I could, of course, be imagining the whole thing).

Does anyone here happen to know how it's done (assuming it is possible).

remove the single screw in the air vent,pull the door card back slightly.remove the trim around the top of door which houses the tweeter,disconnect the tweeter and you should have access to the three bolts and wiring plug
