Default car salesmen

few months ago the wife wanted to trade in her avensis for a new motor, i talked her out of it saying how reliable it,d been etc and in 4yrs it only needed a set of wipers, she agreed but said get rid of a 75 as i,d spent more money on them on repairs than i had to buy them.few weeks ago my 1.8t died a death so decided not to repair but keep it as a donor car to keep the other 75 going as long as poss. so decided to get a new car for every day use, went to a ford dealer thinking of the new focus to be met by a spotty salesman thats not even as old my my socks and first thing he says when pointing at the 75 is 'hope your not wanting a trade with that as you,d get more at a scrappy', not exectly pleased at the comments i said 'that cars in better nick than some of your cars here' to get a 'we can sell them not that tank' reply so politely told him to stick his cash sell and cars right up where the sun doesn,t shine. went along to a toyota dealer where they couldn,t be more helpful, the salesman even wanted my 75 for himself(i refused lol) so now got(when delivered) a new verso t spirit 2.0 diesel 6spd, good mind to take it to ford dealer and say 'thats the sale you lost' lol

When did firms stop sending their staff for customer training .

We were in an eaterie last week and the spotty yoot with the menu said " yes guys what are you after " , my good lady doesn't like being called a guy and i dont either.

You also get " yes mate" or " yes pal " quite commonly these days .

I'm not their bloomin mate or pal i'm a customer.

That's a real shame. I always try to make my customers feel special. You could have been his customer for life and he ruined it. A small minority give us sales people a bad name

You could, he would no doubt get a rocket up him for acting like that. The boss at the dealership wouldn't be impressed to say the least.

Ask to see the sales manager, then show him the car you've bought from Toyota instead of the numpty.

It's a parents job to teach their children good manners.. Employers should take more care when interviewing their staff.. innit....

I would certainly let the dealership know they lost a sale due to the salesmans attitude!

I would not imagine the manager at the Ford dealer would be very happy with his salesman, meanwhile the Toyota saleman was much more professional and secured your buisness.
